Spiritual Development
We are more than our physical body, our feelings and thoughts. When we open the doors within and discover our higher nature, we realize our connection to All things. Their are diverse modalities, tools, philosophies, teachings and enriching practices to encourage our spiritual growth and synthesis of self. Spiritual development is a personal journey in search of truth.
Humanity is on the verge of unprecedented crisis and change. In every country there is a rising tide of fear as we witness our economic and social institutions seemingly fail.
"The extreme environmental conditions around the world are creating a storyline
in the minds of many, some destructive and some constructive."
Mountains have always been a source of inspiration to me. The Mountain Spirits whisper in my ears when I sleep at night (when I visit) offering upliftment, rejuvenation, and self-unfoldment . . .
We learn to develop the triadic energies of sacred sound, sacred symbol and right
relationship in our daily existence. By measure we may not be conscious of this
happening, but this is a natural phenonmena.
Through the Inner Doorway of Self we Unfold — like a beautiful flower opening and
growing into its fullest expression of flower-ness - one petal at a time, uncovering,
discovering, and recovering the beauty, goodness and truth of its connection to the
Nature of ALL Things.
We spend much time in lost thought, in judgment, and daydream states. We pay little attention to the direct experience of our senses, the sights, sounds, smells, and taste sensations in the body. When our attention is scattered our perceptions become clouded. As awareness and concentration become strengthened through relaxation and meditation, we spend less of our time in thought.
We are all in a significant time of transition, whether we realize it or not. Each of us is being asked, on a soulful level, to let go of old conditioned patterns of behavior and thought, to move toward a harmonious, synthesized self.
"All life is one. The world is one home. All are members of one human family. All creation is an organic whole. No man is independent of this whole. Man makes himself miserable by separating himself from others. Separation is death. Unity is eternal life."
Luminescent golden fingers of dawn light the morning sky as I mindfully water
flowers in our sanctuary, a moving meditation of sorts. Consciousness ebbs
and flows . . . — "The Esoteric Healer" 2006
